Freaky Friday and Fill ins

Mom said Madi guess what this is...so I closed by eyes
but I had no clue
When I gave it a sniff, I knew it was...
 gonna be T R O U B L E....
 and I was right...
Mom kept putting this bow all over me until I
no longer cared let her put it on my head in hopes
that she would be OVER IT!
Sometimes being an only cat has its rewards and
DRAWBACKS!!!

And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Ellen came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. Please say a prayer for her cat, Chloe Jo who is battling lymphoma.

1. I am the one and only top diva  in my family (but if you meet my human sis she'll say she is). (madi)
2. I have zero, zilch, nada  sibling(s). Mom and Madi

3. I am looking forward to the return of our humming birds this Spring (mom)
4. The first sign of Spring this year was SNOW!! YIKES March came in like a lion

Thoroughly Poetic Pictorial Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

This very gorgeous picture is our prompt for today!!
At first I thought no way, can I write poetry about the day
I saw red rocks and clay

If you know me well, you know I dream in red.
The voice in my dreams said
A trip out west to you will come true one day.
June  20, 2017 I watched
the sunrise over the Colorado River.
It was as red as the rocks
The beauty I witnessed sent a shiver up my spine.

Many gorgeous vistas were on our way as we
traveled the roadways between Colorado and Utah.
All had names but to this day there is no way
I can say.
We saw sheep on red rocks as they frolicked and played
My mind's eye holds each memory of those days.
It was hot but we cared not
We posed and we walked and we enjoyed
each moment without delay.
Yes the vistas and plateaus are really this red.
Never will I forget the awe I felt when my
eyes rested on the vistas in the West.
All photos are straight out of my camera.

Words on Wednesday

Here at Manor Madi we call this my condo with a patio...
in reality is it a box with a lid
Anyways when the peeps see me sitting on the patio
mom will ask if I want to dine Al Fresco?
She told me that meant in the open air.
I said WHATEVER just bring on the food woman.

Now all that being said mom got curious about the word.  Lo and behold was she surprised when she consulted my friend GiGi Google.  This is what she discovered.

The phrase al fresco is borrowed from Italian for "in the cool(air)"; however, it is not in current use in that language to refer to dining outside.  Instead Italians use the phrase fuori or all'aperto.
Now before I finish this everybuddy sit down

In Italian, the expression al fresco usually refers to spending time in jail.

From now on I'm gonna cut out all the fancy words.  I'll be sitting on the lid of my box waiting for my din din
to be served inside.  Or as the famous song from the 60's said sitting on my ya ya waiting for my la la.

Hugs Madi

A Princess, A Diva and Royal Mail

Recently Princess Leah posted here that she would like to learn to play
Guitar.

This picture prompted me to tell her about my lovely soprano voice.
I suggested we could take our show on the road.
She then wrote "yes Madi I could accompany you as you sing the song of your people."
THEN TOGM remembered that she had my human sis's Recorder and music book from way back when Sis was in the 5th grade. I told Princess Leah Mom thought briefly about teaching herself to play the Recorder....then she got a brilliant idea.

So dear friends...Princess Leah and I are entertaining the idea of a new Girls Band..after all the Spice Girls are not so spicy anymore.
PL and I doubt very seriously that Mom can learn to play the Recorder.
I certainly can't play it and sing the song of my people.  If any of you have any extra hot air to spare and would like to play the recorder in our band, let us know in the comments below.

Princess Leah and I need a name for our Girl Band.
We are open for suggestions....please put your suggestions in your comment below.
We will give each suggestion Royal  Diva consideration.

Royal Thank You

Mom's eyes are better than they were last week this time; however,
she is still trying to be mindful of how long she stares at the computer screen.   She told me, when one stares at the computer screen, one forgets to blink and it causes the eyes to dry out.
On top of everything else she is now dealing with dry eyes!!
(As I've mentioned in the past, she works for free so I can't dock her pay.) She has an appointment
on 3/28 to talk to her doc about the state of affairs with her monthly use contacts, which she hasn't worn since March 2, and if, in fact she should wear them  or just go to her glasses all the time.
In the meantime, I'm cracking the whip.
