Finally Friday

Mom and Dad had a busy week
sorting through my Grandpeeps tax stuffs.  Thank
goodness my Dad is a smartypants (I get my brains from him).  He was able to make the process a tad less complicated.  So
I gave them my okey dokey to do something fun this weekend.
PS they really didn't go fishing...mom doesn't do worms.
It is just a funny way of saying she is out of the office, not available, aka being a lazy bum!
BUT they better bring me something.
Hugs Madi your bfff

I missed visiting with you today but I don't know
how to type.
We thank you all for your kind words about Daisy.
We know HER, Bella and Roxy appreciated them.

Daisy Down Under

Daisy, Bella and Roxy were my very first cabinet members to take part in "Meet my Cabinet'.They were my Commissioners of all things Down Under.

On February 20, 2014 Daisy went 'over the Rainbow'
after a very courageous battle with oral Cancer.
Today  in honor of Daisy we are posting their interview.

Run Free Daisy...and may you wade in a lot of rivers over the rainbow.  We will always remember you and never fear sweet girl we will keep HER, Bella and Roxy close to our hearts

MONDAY: MEET MY CABINET January 28, 2013

Mom and I are happy to present a new series "MEET MY CABINET'  which will
air on Mondays.  We have 10 questions we will be sending each and every member of out cabinet
we hope you find the questions interesting and informative.

Today we are featuring our
COMMISSIONERS of all things DOWN UNDER

LADIES MOM AND I THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT, WELL THOUGHT OUT ANSWERS

1. Please introduce yourselves, tell us your age and a very special trait.
My name is Daisy, I'll be 10 in March.  I'm the top dog in our house.  Next we have Bella who will be 4 this year, and last is Roxy who will be 2.  I, Daisy, am the peace keeper in the family and keep the others in line.  Bella and I are both typical scotties.  We are aloof with people and will only have a cuddle on our terms.  Roxy, on the other hand is anyones.  She loves everybody and thinks they want to be kissed and cuddled.  Bella and I are dignified--Roxy is....well....Roxy.
2. If you had an alter ego who would you be?
We like being who we are and don't really have alter egos.
3. What do you like best/least about where you live and why.
We live in a city of 40,000 in New South Wales. It is mostly a farming area, and our city provides the services needed by the outlying towns and villages.  There are loads of places to walk in our area...we rarely do the same walk every day.  And our favourite places are anywhere near the river.  We love getting wet, the sand and mud.  Also, there are lots of birds to chase.  If we could change one thing though, it would be the bindiis (burrs).  They get tangled in our furs, stuck in our paws and are a pain--literally.  We'd love for them to disappear!
4. Who are some of the peeps/furiends you'd like to meet and why
You ask who we'd like to meet. There are so many. Basically, we'd love to meet any of the Blogville residents!
5. If you could give one piece of random advice what would it be?
The piece of advice we try to live by is that quote from 'Auntie Mame'...."Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death"  As Mame says, 'Live, live, live'.  Enjoy the day-to-day stuff because the big things you wait for, may not happen.
6. What do you do for fun?
For fun, we just run, chase birds, investigate, keep track of what's happening in the 'hood, play bitey face and snooze.  We're always up for treats.  (Bella watches television and Roxy plays with squeaky toys.)
7. What is the first thing you do each morning?
First thing very morning, we race outside to see if our borders have been breached during the night and then go sit in front of the cabinet to get our breakfast bones.  Then we wait for HER  to take us for our early morning walk.
8. What is the first thing you notice about new furiends?
The first thing we notice about new friends is their smell.  Friendly animals give off a friendly scent.
9. Tell us how you came to live in your family and how you got your name.
I, Daisy, was a meant-to-be dog.  Scotties are hard to get in Australia, and females almost impossible.  But when HER mother died, SHE wanted to spend some of the inheritance on a female scottie.  SHE was going to Sydney for the weekend and just happened to find an ad for scotties--almost unheard of.  SHE arrived on Mother's Day and I chose HER.  Daisy was HER mother's favourite flower, so that's how I got my name.  I'm the Memorial scottie.
Bella was 5 months old when she arrived so she kept her name.  Roxy was a rescue pup and her litter all had names beginning with 'R'.  She was 5 months old, so she kept her name, too.
10. What is your absolute favorite food?
Our VERY favourite food is FISH!  We love sardines, fish skin jerky, or any other kind of fish, cooked any way. ( Roxy loves to roll in dead fish at the river.)
We would like to finish by saying we hope we will be worthy of the trust you have placed on us.

Number 2
Mom is losing it:
Monday 2/17/14
she awoke at 5am to a very vivid dream.
She found a black Scottie on the side of
the road.  It had on a red collar with the name
Mussey on it.
I put my itty bitty kitty paw down telling her
I did not want a sibling.
She expects this dream was a result of all
the Scotties who pawticipated in the
Queen of Hearts Ball

Number 3
It is once again time for us to celebrate
Dr. Seuss' Birthday.
Furiends ask your peeps
to put on their thinking hats

Mini Olympics: Women's Ice Daning

I thank my sponsor NCSU Icicles for getting me
to the Mini Olympics to pawticipate in
Women's Ice Dancing

Endurance training for this event was intense
I walked up hill bare pawed in  the snow to the top Mt.Grill

I toughened my itty bitty kitty paws by
scaling the ice covered bare limbs of small trees
Finally I was ready to gingerly step onto the mini ice rink
I performed my routine lickety split (quicker than the human eye)
turned around to face the roaring crowds who threw roses at
my frozen paws, gave me a crown and proclaimed me
DIVA ICE QUEEN

I thank Ms. Lynne for making all the Mini Mes
The Olympics are dedicated to the
memory of Bridget

Molly the Wally and
Frankie and Ernie for the Mini Olympics idea. Most of all I thank the birdies for letting me use their bird bath.
All the freezing temps we had in mid January otherwise I would have been dancing on very thin ice.
THE END
