TUESDAY TALES

Recently, because my human sis was coming to visit and she would have said that box was here in December, Mom moved this box
from the foyer to their bedroom.  I miss foyer frolicking on it in
but looks like it will be fun here too.
Sometimes Mom comes in the bedroom and doesn't even notice me on it...except for this time.

I had to give it a good scratching to let it know I was still boss of it.
Yep I think I did a very good job of leaving my mark
You want to know how long it will be here....
well I'll tell you.  It will be here until my peeps can find a young
man with a very tall ladder who is willing to hang the contents of the box, a hot air balloon, in the ceiling over our stairs.

We don't have a ladder that tall.  However, if we did
DAD is not allowed on ladders over 5'....
another story for another Tuesday.....

Meet My Cabinet: Murphy and Stanley

Today we are featuring

Murphy and Stanley:  Purchasing Directors

Honorable Mayoress Madi, we want to thank you for the opportunity to do this interview.  Since we are very well socialized, we like to find opportunities where we can meet more friends.  (We also like to jump on new friends but we are working on suppressing that desire.)  As members of your cabinet we are able to not only meet new friends, but serve the citizens of Blogville as well.  I believe mom calls this a "win-win". We are honored to be members of your cabinet!

1. Please introduce yourself(selves), tell us your age and a very special trait. We are Murphy and Stanley.  We are 13 month old mini-Goldendoodles.  Although to be clear, I, Murphy, am more mini than Stanley. We were in the same litter but we are very different.  I am a mellow sort of Dood.  I don't get too excited about many things, I just go with the flow.  Stanley is very emotional.  If he hears Dad's truck pulling in the garage he starts screaming "They're home, they're home!" and jumping up and down like a crazy maniac.  I just sit there and look cute cuz I know mom is going to come get me and tell me she missed me like crazy.  Stanley goes from 1 to 100 in a split second.  I mosey into it and never make it over 50.  When Stanley gets a command he snaps to it and salutes his paw, "Sir, yes sir!"  On the other hand, I might stretch and say "Okie Dokie" before I do my command.  Mom says we are both loving and very smart.  We have graduated from PSU and recently obtained our CGC (Canine Good Citizen).  We might try to get our GED if we can get into Harvard.

2. If you had and alter ego, who would you like to be and why  I think I would have to be any of a number of famous baseball players.  I REALLY like to play fetch and currently mom has hidden all my balls so I am suffering. Stanley would be a deep sea diver like Jacques Cousteau.  We both like to swim but Stanley really likes to dive for treasure.
3. What do you like best/least about where you live  It is a good place because we have beautiful mountains.  The air is not humid and in the winter we have lots of snow to play in.  But we don't have lots of lakes.  We wish we had more lakes to swim in.

4. Who are some peeps/furiends you'd like to meet and why  We would like to meet some of our Blogville and Facebook friends in the furs.  They are some of the bestest furiends and humans we have ever known.  We just want to shake their paws and tell them they make our lives extra good.

5. If you could give one piece of random advice what would it be?  Live until you die.  We  noticed that some humans stop living before they are dead.

6. What do you do for fun  We like to play ball, swim, go for walkies, hike, run with our pawrents, play on the hillside and chase each other or play tug-of-war.  We like to go new places.  We like to cuddle our pawrents.  Stanley likes to tear apart our toys.  We like to chew rawhide chews and elk antlers.  We like to learn new things like jumping through our hoop that Goose's mom gave us.  And we like to surf the Intermutts too.  Stanley likes to drive tractors.

7. What is the first thing you do each morning  Stanley likes to stick his tongue in dad's ear to signal him that he wants to get up and go outside.  I usually sleep in with mom.  After Stanley goes outside he comes back to bed with me and mom.  When mom gets up, we follow her to the back door (Dad calls us her "posse") and go outside to pee, poop and play a bit before we come in for a biscuit.

8. What is the first thing you notice about a new furiend  We notice if they smell like love.  Most do, they just don't know it.

9. Tell us how you came to live in your family and how you got your name.  Our pawrents used to have dogs all the time but then their hearts were broken and they said "Never again".  Then mom was reading Goose's blog.  She said it was "dripping in love".  Sometimes she even cried!  She missed the love of a dog real bad but did not want another broken heart.  Finally, Goose (we know him in the furs) and his mom got to her and she cracked.  She could stand it no more so she went looking for me.  She always knew my name would be Murphy but she did not know where I was!  Finally I found her when I was 2 weeks old.  We met the day my eyes opened!  By then Dad's heart softened too so he said he had to have a Stanley (he thought the name went nicely with mine).  I told Mom I had a litter mate named Stanley!  So we came to live with mom and dad when we were 7 weeks old but we loved each other even before that.

10. What is your absolute favorite food  My favorite is pork roast.  Stanley's is pulled pork.  But if it has cheese on it that is the very bestest!

BONUS Question:  As purchasing directors we expect you have run into all kinds of issues especially online. Please tell us a funny situation you have encountered in your purchasing adventures.

Me and Stanley did a lot of work on the Intermutts when we were saving Benny and Lily from starvation and buying Sarge's police cars (and making all the other purchases for Blogville friends - including your mansion).  Sometimes when we put certain words into our Google Search we would get back some things that made mom faint!  For instance, when we searched for Sarge's police cars we entered "doggy style" for a car that would fit a dog driver.  Whoa - mom fell over and dad had to revive her!  We also learned that when looking for things for a cat that it was best to use the word "feline" or else mom would screech and then faint again.  We made so many purchases in such a short period of time that we had to put a mattress on the floor to keep catching mom.
