MY NEPHEW....HARLEY

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE
I'd like to share a most precious picture of my nephew,
HARLEY, and tell you a little bit about this sweet boy.

Harley is my human sister's Cornish Rex kitty.
Even though I don't like for him to come visit, I admire him because he is the sweetest and bravest kitty I know.
In the last few years, he has been dealing with IBD.  It took a while to  find just the purrfect special food for his IBD.  Last fall  his weight dropped to significantly even though he was eating.  His peeps found out he had diabetes.  It took a while to get his insulin just right.  Then they had to adjust his special food (for his IBD) and insulin to get them to work together.  The Prednisone he takes for his IBD, made all of his curly hair go away but some is coming back.
Don't you all think he is just absolutely a most handsome fellow?
Mom just loves his mustache.

My sis bought a feeder with a timer on it. His daily food is dispensed at intervals 5 times a day to so that his blood sugar stays at the right level.  Harley is very brave and takes his insulin shot like a champ and several pills a day for his IBD!!
I'm happy to say Harley is now up to his regular weight of 11 pounds. He is feeling honky dory fine.  Running around the house  playing chase with his peeps and playing with his toys.

His is a very lucky boy to have such devoted peeps.  His favorite thing in the world is a big fluffy blanket just out of the dryer.
Thank you for letting me talk about this sweet boy.
Hugs Madi

THURSDAY THEME SONG: ICE CREAM

Mom and I thank Hootin Anni for being such a good hostess for

Today's song was chosen after Mom took some pics of Dad getting ice cream.  Mom Google ice cream songs and lo and behold we found there is a song to go with the famous line:
I scream, you scream,we all scream for ice cream!!
The original song (written by Howard Johnson, Billy Moll and Robert A. K. King) was first recorded on January 13, 1928.

Please click on the video below to hear this fun song...there is instrumental for about 20 seconds then the lyrics begin

This is what the Eskimos holler
In the land of ice and snow
Picture taken on Inside Passage Cruise in Alaska on the Dawn Princess

Up among the Eskimos,
There's is a college known as Ogiwawa!
You should see those college boys,
Gee, they make an awful noise
When they sing an Eskimo tra-la-la

Picture taken on land tour of Alaska at a replica of an Eskimo Village and how the made their clothes

They've got a leader (my Dad) big cheer leader
Oh what a guy,
He's got a frozen face just like an Eskimo Pie
When he says, "Come on, let's go!"
Mom is always ready  cause she is an ice cream freak
Though it's forty-five below, (picture taken in May is was about 35 above)

This is the very first picture they took in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was an ice cream store near their hotel
This is what the Eskimos holler
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream
Rah, rah rah

Tuesdays, Mondays, we all scream for sundaes
Sis-boom-bah
Bolla-bolla, sarsaparoolla
If you got chocolate, we'll take vanoola
This is what the Eskimos holler
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, even the Dall sheep who say

BAH BAH BAH

There is a rumor...

...going around that the first family diva my human sister and favorite only brother-in-law (bil) are coming for Easter.
Last weekend Mom was changing the linens on their bed.  When she finished tidying up the room, Mom asked Dad how long he thought it would be before I decided it needed to be christened. Mom said she has not seen me on this bed for several months. Under the green sheet, there is comforter to match the shams but we rarely see it.
By the time she turned around I was making myself at home.
I only like to put my royal tush on very clean sheets.

Mom always covers the comforter to keep my furs off the comforter.

I'm pretty sure my sis and bil will appreciate the welcome home furs I left for them!! Dollars to donuts (no clue what that means but it makes me hungry) there will be more  before they arrive.

I think this looks like a headless bug but Mom assures me it is my furs

SOCK SAGA: THE END

LAST MONDAY  CLICK HERE TO READ ALL ABOUT
THE
SAGA
or here is the Cliff Note version
1. Even though Mom can buy socks 24/7 in any color at any store she had a desire to make a pair.
2. She has bought a gazillion patterns before she found one she found one she could make.
3. The sock pictured on last Monday was another flop.
a. itty bitty sock yarn
b. itty bitty (size C) crochet hook, very hard to see.
c. She is convinced the instructions WERE wrong again.
4. SO she bought different yarn and found a tube
pattern.
OK you are caught up....

After one SOLID week of working on the
insert HBO word, here is the finished product.

OMC as if the color wasn't enough to blind me she shoved her smelly lovely foot in my face.
I was less than impressed.  She said Madi you better give it a
good look and a good sniff.....'cause this is the last time you'll see it
Yep the old girl made one and she said there wasn't enough money
in the lottery to get her to make another one.  She said there are some things in life that do not need to be repeated. This is one of them.  My BFF, Puddles told us the Mom of  Texas Doxie, MinnaK also made ONE last year.  We don't know what color it is but we'd like to make MinnaK's mom an offer she cannot refuse.   Mom will gladly send her sock to TX so that MinnaK's Mom has a complete pair....MOL
Respectfully submitted.
