ELEPHANT STEW

When Mom told me what she was going to put on my blog today, I said 'Mom you have got to be kidding, who wants a recipe for Elephant Stew' ?  Mom said 'Madi take a chill pill, everyone will get a big LOL/MOL/BOL'.
I'm hiding my eyes in disbelief and embarassment!!

Ingredients:
1 Elephant
Brown Gravy
salt and pepper
2 Rabbits

Directions:
Cut elephant into bite-size pieces (this will take about 4 months).
Add salt and pepper and cover with brown gravy.  This will serve 3,800 people.  If more people are expected, add 2 rabbits, but do this only if absolutely necessary, as most people don't like 'hare' in their stew.

************

Note from Mom:  I recently received a new cookbook from a friend.  My hubby was eagerly looking through it to see what might be new and delicious that I could make for him.  He cracked  when he saw the last recipe in the book for Elephant Stew.  Obviously someone had a very vivid imagination or they needed to fill up one more page.
FYI:  No elephants or rabbits were hurt or even seen while this cookbook was being complied.

THURSDAY THEME SONG: DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES

It's Thursday so it must be time to thank  Hootin Anni for
Sponsoring this fun meme

Days of Wine and Roses is both a beautiful instrumental and vocal.
Let's get started.....

The days of wine and roses laugh and run away like a child at play
Through a meadow land toward a closing door
A door marked "nevermore" that wasn't there before.

The lonely nght discloses just a passing breeze filled with memories
Of the golden smile that introduced me to the days of wine and roses and
YOU

TUESDAY TOES

Mom loves my toes and my pink and gray pads
So every so often I let her look at them

 But I find it quite B O R I N G
Over the years I have found Mom is easily entertained.

EASY STEPS TO SHARING YOUR FURS

WAIT UNTIL THE SIDE OF THE SPREAD THAT TOUCHES THE SHEET AND BLANKET THAT MOM PULLS UP TO HER FACE ARE EXPOSED.

1. HOP UP ON IT THE EVER SO SLOWLY WALLOW AROUND UNTIL YOUR TUMMY IS COMFY THEN STRETCH OUT ONE PAW
 2. CONCENTRATE VERY HARD COUNTING TO 5
THEN STRETCH OUT THE OTHER PAW. ALL THE STRETCHING IS SURE TO DISTRIBUTE YOUR LOVELY FURS
EVENLY
 3. NOW SLOWLY WITHDRAW BOTH OF YOUR FURRY PAWS BUT BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO FALL OFF THE EDGE OF THE BED
 4. TURN SLOWLY FACE THE OTHER DIRECTION THIS WILL ASSURE THAT YOU HAVE SHARED YOUR FURS

BE SURE NOT TO MOL WHEN MOM SNEEZES....
SINCERELY,
MADI
