Saturday: Cat's Bill of Rights #6

I have the right to smell your shoes to determine if you have been fraternizing or

cavorting or frolicking with any highly questionable animals.
As stated in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Loving our Cats.
Dad I don't know where you've been or who you have been with but I'm here to say you need
to find some new friends....

Pot Luck Friday #12 Surprise !!!!

Mom is going to show you two of her favorite pictures from the trip she and
Dad took to Alaska in 2005........
I,MADI, WAS LEFT AT HOME WITH JUST MY MOUSE.
If you think I look forlorn, you are right even though it is 5 years later, I'm still upset....they didn't even invite me to go!!!
FYI: Mom is all about anything Alaskan!!!

This was the 4th picture Mom took with her very first digital camera...she was amazed that she could take such a nice picture. She and Dad were on a paddle boat cruise on the Chena River.
This float plane demonstrated a landing and take off....AMAZING!!!

This next picture will leave you speechless....it is the very picture that really tells the story of
Alaska's Grandness!!!
The picture was taken from Mom and Dad's cruise ship, Dawn Princess, looking across the bay at another cruise ship. In the middle of the bay, there is a tiny tug boat chugging along.....YES that is a real tug boat not a toy. The cruise ship dwarfs the tug boat and one of Alaska's gorgeous mountain ranges dwarfs the cruise ship.

Wednesday with Woody

Look who I ran into over the weekend....
This is Woody the Cat.
He is kind of 'hard headed', but he is quiet, doesn't eat much,
he smells good and is a good listener. He makes the purrfect
feline sibling.
I'm teaching him all about Mom's obession with the flashy beast

Madi and Mom say Thank you!!!

To Junneth for Versatile Blogger Award

and K9-Katastrophie for giving a kitty this very special Doggie Bloggie Award

Morning friends...nope I didn't turn into a K9 over the weekend, but I do proudly accept the Doggie Bloggie Award from my K9 friends at K-9Kastastrophie & Versatile Award from Junneth
1. Thank the friends who bestowed this award on you and link to their blog.....DONE
2. Both asked us to tell everyone 10 things about us that you may not know.
We'll tell you 5 about Mom and 5 about Madi.
Madi:
1. I'm spoiled (I know that is a surprise)
2. I do not sit in anyone's lap!! Much to the dismay of Mom
(the first family kitty was 100% lap kitty)
3.I talk non stop
4.I was a devil child when the peeps first brought me home.
5. I was lost for 2 hours...not to worry though I knew exactly where I was...sleeping
peacefully in Mom and Dad's closet.
Mom:
1. I'm proud to say I can drive a stick shift
2. I was Senior Class Marshall in High School
(this means I kept order in the midst of chaos...good training for being Mom to a Diva Cat)
3. When I was about 3 years old I cut my own hair and I cut the hair of
the family Collie, Lady, and Lady's puppies. Luckily no humans or puppies were harmed!!
4.When I was 5, I was caught in the act of eating a stick of butter.
5. At 2 years old I was a cover girl on the Co-operative Exchange magazine.
(I know you've never heard of it. LOL My mom worked for the company.
I was on the Easter edition holding baby chicks.

We would like to share this award with anyone who doesn't have it.

CSI Madi: Mysterious Scooter Update

C(at) S(leuth) I(nvestigator) Madi here to report the
rest of the story on The Case of the Mysterious Scooter that appeared on our
cul-de-sac in the wee hours of September 12, 2010

Friday October 1, 2010 Mom decided to take a day's vacation; otherwise she would not have been available to document this most momentous event.
The peeps went out to breakfast...no I wasn't invited. When they returned, much to their surprise, they saw Raleigh's Finest on our cul-de-sac. After nearly 3 weeks, Mr. Policeman was here to investigate The Case of the Mysterious Scooter.
He walked to, fro, back and forth looked up and down then sat in his car
(you may click to enlarge any of the pictures)
All of a sudden, this car pulled up with two men in it. One man got out with a helmet in his hand. We surmised ($1.00 word) he was the most happy owner of said scooter. They looked the scooter over some more only to find that the scooter would not move on its own power (had they bothered to ask us we could have told them that)!!!
This big honking truck pulled up. The words on the trailer
say 'Official Police Rotation' on it. No clue what that means, but
there must have been a lot of green paper needed
to use it. Just a quickly as it arrived, it left.
The green car left, the police left, butt
the man with the helmet stayed. He pulled out his cell phone and

waited for a very long time..........finally
another truck appeared which provided free hauling
(please click on the picture to enlarge)
After lots of huffing and puffing these two men were able to get the scooter loaded on the truck.
We are happy to report our cul-de-sac no longer has a resident scooter on it.
CSI Madi over and out headed back into retirement.
PS we expect this scooter was stolen, ran out of gas and was dumped on our cul-de-sac!!!

Sunday: Cat's Bill of Rights #5

I have the right to tip over any water container I deem unsuitable for consumption.
I, Madi, am thrilled to report I have NEVER had to do this. My PetMate filter water fountain always has fresh, rippling, enticing water in it. Thanks to Mom!!!
Signed,
Madi
PS....be sure to drop by on Monday...we have an update on the Mysterious Scooter that has been on our cul-de-sac for 3 weeks!!!
