Blue eye, green eye why two colors in one picture????
Gold eyes taken directly after the picture above different angle They reflect the many moods of Madi UPDATE ON HARLEY:
Mom and I thank you all for your kind wishes and thoughts for Harley....I, Madi, do love him from afar and want him well!!! Good news the worst thing they feared was not an issue...it would not have been treatable. He does have a pretty aggravating digestive issue in the early stages called megacolon but there is a new med they will try to help control that.
His liver and kidneys look good too. Now to get the little guy to gain some weight.
He seems to be digesting canned food much better than kibble so for now and until he puts on some weight that will be his food of choice. Mom and I think Harley paid the Vet to tell his Mom that she really doesn't like the smell of canned food. MOL!!!
AND the best news is Harley has another entire fanny club up here at this VET...they all think he is adorable.
PRETTY PLEASE, WITH SUGAR & CREAM & KITTY CAT KISSES
BORROW THE CAR TO GO SHOPPING...I NEED SOME STUFF.... YES I'LL USE ALL THE DISCOUNT THINGIES ON THE KEY RING AT ALL THE APPROPRIATE STORES
AND I'LL BE VERY CAREFUL TO KEEP MY PAWS ON THE KEYS AT ALL TIMES
IS THAT A YES???
THANK YOU. I'LL WEAR MY SEAT BELT AND ONLY PUT ONE PAW ON THE
NOTE FROM MADI TO ALL MY BFFs: WHOOPEE...Be waiting on the curb...I'll swing by all of your homes as per our previous arrangement. Shhhhh don't tell your moms. I'll be sure you all get home before breakfast. ****
Update on Madi and Harley (written Monday afternoon).
Harley (and his peeps) had a very long and unpleasant trip to Raleigh. Harley gets car sick. Harley's mom was very prepared though. He was in his big travel carrier and they were able to switch him to another carrier. Due to is digestive issues they could not use any meds to help with the carsickness. As soon as they got him settled in his room we left him to rest and catch up on his eating. As of this writing there has not been a face to face meeting. Madi has, however, been kind enough to sit has his door and hiss at him. Harley's doctor's appt. is tomorrow at 10 am in Cary.We hope and pray they can find an answer to all of this PRECIOUS little boy's issues.
We love this sweet little guy to bits!!! Even after all he has been through over the last 2 months his disposition is 200% delightful Cornish Rexness!!!
During the late 1890s and early 1900s many immigrants from Greece and other parts of Eastern and Southern Europe came to the United States. In 1896 one of first of the Greek immigrants arrived in Raleigh. He found the the capital of NC to be a segregated yet thriving town of 13,000. During the first decade of 1900s other Greeks joined him. Nearly all were self-employed. They setlted into Raleigh's business district and residential neighborhoods forming Raleigh's Greek American Community. The first Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church was located in the 200 block of Pearson Street. The building was completed in 1938.
By the 1960's Holy Trinity's parish had outgrown the Person Street Church Building.
A church committe was formed to look for a site to build their new church.
Between 1974 and 1983 the parishioners built the new Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
on Leadmine Road. The information I found on the church calls it an architectural gem modern in design and function.
As you look at the following pictures, I'm sure you will agree.
What an inviting front entrance. The entire building is white with are red tile roof.
Lovely stained glass windows, strong columns and this very beautiful tower...you might notice the small white sign in front of the tower. That is a Raleigh Building permit. It looks like there will be more additions to this beautiful Church. Each fall the parishioners host a Greek Festival for the public. The social hall, with its fully equipped kitchen, is used weekly for hospitality after Sunday services and for preparing food for the Annual Greek Festival which is held at the NC State Fair Grounds. To say the food is scrumptious, is an understatement!! When attending the Festival one is entertained by Greek Folk Dancing and music. A good time is had by all.
Our weekend company will be arriving soon so mom and I might not be visiting may blogs today.
Harley cat will be sequestered in the computer room until he gets acclimated.
